Faubourg Paris
Ah Faubourg. You melt all my troubles away, you really do, even if it's just for a moment. Faubourg is most famed for their macarons and high tea, but also offer a variety of other French bakery items/cakes.
Texture wise, the macarons at Faubourg are not as soft, but that did not distract from the macaron itself. In terms of size the macarons at Faubourg are smaller than other places such as Thierry's.
Left to Right: Cassis, Salted Caramel, Pistachio, Strawberry Black Pepper, Raspberry Rose, Pistachio, Lemon, Cassis |
Cassis 4/5 stars
This tasted like a higher end grape jelly. This was definitely one of the sweeter macarons in the box.
Salted Caramel 4.5/5 stars
Definitely one of my favourites. The saltiness was well balanced with the caramel.
Pistachio N/A
I'm allergic to pistachios, so I didn't get to try this one :(
Strawberry Black Pepper 4.5/5 stars
Tasted a bit like strawberry pocky (sans the artificial flavour). This was second sweetest after the Cassis.
Raspberry Rose 4/5 stars
The raspberry was very prominent, and I could definitely detect notes of rose, which elevated the macaron to another level.
Lemon 4/5 stars
The lemon flavour was a bit artificial, but still very pleasant.
-Delicious!
-Authentic french macarons and pastries
Cons:
-Expensive
-Lineups
Overall Rating: 4/5 stars
