I'm going to be reviewing Pak Tak's competitors Golden Rice Bowl and Chung Hin in upcoming posts!
Braised Pork Belly, Honey Garlic Pork, Fried Shrimp
3/5 starsI opted for 3 items, for the sake of variety, and in case I didn't like one of the items haha. Given that this was prepared food, I wasn't expecting much. I would have preferred the honey garlic pork to have more meat on it, but in terms of flavour, it had just the right amount of sweetness. The braised pork belly had a good ratio of fatty and lean pieces, and was marinated quite well. The shrimp wasn't heavily breaded, and had a nice crunch.
I'll admit that all the items were pretty greasy haha, but for the price, portion size, and taste, it made for a pretty satisfying lunch! So if you're in the mood for decent, cheap Chinese fast food, Pak Tak Chow will suffice!
