The Last Crumb Bakery & Cafe
I came across the Last Crumb by accident while I was riding the bus along Main St! I remembered reading about this place on Yelp, and the bus happened to stop by this place, so I hopped off haha!
The Last Crumb is a neighbourhood favourite for delicious desserts, gluten free pastries, and sandwiches! They're located right beside Radicle Juice (which I blogged about a few days ago) so if you eat one too many cupcakes here LOL (which is all too easy to do), you can make yourself feel less guilty by getting some healthy juice next door haha!
I wanted to get one of their desserts that day but since I was still fighting off a cold I decided against it LOL! Everything looked SO GOOD, I was literally drooling looking at the display case LOL! Grrr, I'll be back for your sandwich cookies Last Crumb!! ;)
Random thing that happened yesterday: I bumped into my childhood bff at metrotown LOL! Hii Quintin if you're reading this haha (he's probably not) He said that he saw my mom so that's how he knew it was me LOL!
Cheese & Scallion Scone $3
This is what they're known for! They also have sconewiches LOL, which is exactly what it sounds like: a sandwich made out of 2 scones! Texturally, the scone was great: flaky, and crumbly on the outside, and incredibly moist on the inside. However, flavour wise, it fell a little short. The pastry itself was a little bland and the only real flavour came from the scallions.
Chicken Pesto Salad $9
I decided to order a salad instead of a dessert (gasp! LOL) to help me fight off my cold! The salad actually had pecans in it (which I'm allergic to) but they were really nice and made me a new one at no extra charge! The greens were fresh and crunchy, and there was a generous amount of chicken! The chicken was shredded and coated in a subtle pesto flavoured sauce, with crumbled cheese on top!
If only I had an unlimited amount of stomach space *sigh*
Their gluten free case looks just as good! Especially those brownies!! :D
