Taikoo Yummy Food
The big boys: Aberdeen, Yaohan, and Parker Place have been holding a monopoly over the food court scene for years. As a result, the smaller plazas like Empire Plaza, Continental Plaza, Union Square, Excel Centre, Admiralty Centre, and Pacific Plaza often get brushed under the rug. Continental, Empire, Yaohan, and Aberdeen are my personal favourites :D
I'm pretty familiar with all of the plazas I mentioned, except Taikoo (Pacific Plaza!) So the other day when I was in Richmond visiting my Dad, I decided to make the 5 minute trek from my Dad's office to Taikoo's food court for lunch!
Taikoo has one of the emptiest food courts in Richmond, but they still have a respectable number of stalls! There's Gee!Taste Good (they're famous for their laska,) Cake Workshop, a handmade dumpling stall, a breakfast stall, and two Sichuan stalls (that happened to be closed.)
I really wanted to try Gee!Taste Good's laska, but wasn't in the mood for soupy noodles. In the end, I settled on Taikoo Yummy Food!!
Gon Chow Ngau Ho (Beef Chow Fun)
$1 extra for veggies
3.5/5 stars
This was quite good! The wok hey flavour was quite strong! The beef was nice and tender, and noticeably juicy. The noodles were bouncy and had bite. It wasn't too oily either and it was a pretty generous portion! I added $1 for bak choy...I'm so healthy.
Free Soup

I also got some free soup with my meal!! It tasted quite herbal-ly, my throat actually starting hurting after the first sip...not sure what they put in there.
